Job Description:
Main Line Health is seeking an Oncology Data
Specialist to join our team at Riddle Hospital, Media PA.
Required Qualifications:
The Oncology Data Specialist must possess the
technical knowledge and skills necessary to maintain the
components of an oncology related data collection system in a
manner consistent with all requirements of the health care
delivery system; medical, administrative, ethical, legal and
regulatory.
Education Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Cancer/Health
Information Management or completion of an accredited Cancer
Registry Training program required. Education in other Allied
Health professions may also be considered. Must be Certified
Tumor Registrar (CTR) with minimum of one year experience. May
consider individuals who are Board eligible within 6-12 months.
Candidate must also possess a strong background in anatomy,
physiology, medical terminology, health information/oncology
coding systems and computer applications.

ovarian, lung and colon cancers. Through our partnership with
Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, our medical team works with
world-renowned specialists to deliver the most advanced
treatment therapies available – including clinical trials.
Job Description
The Certified Tumor Registrar is responsible to
abstract all cases of cancer diagnoses and/or treatments within
Susquehanna Health. The Tumor Registrar produces annual reports
for the cancer program as well as coordinate educational events
for the cancer program. The Tumor Registrar is responsible for
compiling all data for patient care evaluation studies,
compiling NCDB submission including annual call data, report to
the Pennsylvania Cancer Registry monthly and perform additional
duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Five years of health record or oncology
experience and knowledge of the registry computer system. Must
be a Certified Tumor Registrar.
Preferred Qualifications
Health records degree preferred.
Education Qualifications
Medical secretarial training or licensed
practice nurse.
