Overview

Coders aren’t the only staff members who need ICD-10-CM/PCS training. Hale has 25 years of experience in healthcare management, including administration, health information management, clinical documentation improvement, resource outcome management, and utilization review. She is a member of the American Health Information Management Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Hale is a featured national speaker at case management and healthcare revenue cycle conferences.

Susan Wallace, MEd, RHIA, CCS, CCDS, is a Director of Compliance for Inpatient Reviews, for Administrative Consultant Services in Shawnee, OK, and provides consultation in Health Information Department management, clinical documentation improvement, MS-DRG and APR-DRG management, ICD-9-CM coding, and ICD-10-CM/PCS preparation. She has over 30 years of experience in the HIM field.
